Freetown

Cape Cod Aggregates’ newest operation is in the Town of Freetown, located off Bryant Street at the site previously owned and operated by Freetown Sand and Gravel, a business that began in the early 70’s. Operating under new permits, CCA is working closely with Freetown officials and residents to meet or exceed all operation and safety standards. We remain committed to protecting the quality of life of our neighbors, and we are pleased to become working partners and good corporate neighbors with the Town of Freetown, enhancing its business climate.

The Freetown Soil Board voted unanimously in November, 2009 to renew for a year Cape Cod Aggregates’ permit to operate a quarry on Bryant Street. The Soil Board in its deliberations said that public safety of the quarry has been much improved since CCA took over the gravel operation from Freetown Sand and Gravel in 2007. “We have been working with this company, and our officials attend the blasts regularly," said Freetown Selectwoman Jean Fox, a member of the Soils Board and town liaison for overseeing CCA operations. “They (CCA) have in fact exceeded the standards set by the federal government and the state government.”
